Disco 4 – Überraschung oder Enttäuschung!

Nun haben die Plattenfirma, wie auch die Jungs in den letzten Tagen endlich die sprichwörtliche ‘Katze aus dem Sack’ gelassen und die Pläne für die kommende ‘Disco 4’ Veröffentlichung verifiziert!

Das Ergebnis hat aber scheinbar die Pet Shop Boys Kommune derart erschüttert und geteilt, daß nunmehr zwei Parteien unter den Fans das Für und Wider eines solchen Albums diskutieren.

Unter dem Strich bleibt anzumerken, daß 1986 niemand irgendwelche Regeln für die Art eines ‘Disco’ Albums aufgestellt hatte – und wenn doch, dann am ehesten die Jungs selbst. Im Endeffekt liegt es also immer an den Boys selbst, was ein Sampler der ‘Disco’ Reihe enthalten sollte. Letzteres gilt es dabei immer zu beachten!

Die Jungs haben nunmehr auch eine mögliche Veröffentlichung von ‘Integral’ in Grossbritannien in Frage gestellt. Sieht also so aus, als ob die Plattenfirma die VÖ-Gelüste der Jungs in Bezug auf das Thema des Songs nicht mitträgt! Ein Video wurde schon produziert und wird zumindest auf der offiziellen Seite und auf You Tube Veröffentlichung finden!

Somethings about the upcoming releases

SirenDisc.com just has updated their infos about the upcoming releases, which possibly will released in the following formats:

Integral (Sep. 17.) – release on 12′ Vinyl and Enhanced-CD

Disco 4 (Sep. 24.) – release on CD and Vinyl

All those facts are taken from mail order shops in the internet! According to Neil nothing is REALLY confirmed yet! So please take these infos for your own use. We assume the release dates could be postphoned another time to a later date! EMI Germany currently deny an release of ‘Integral’ which make us think, that the single will come out as a Parlophone -UK only- release.

PSB C A T A L O G U E now online

From today, August 1st the best known ‘PSB Discography’ is history and the page has changed the design and the name!

The new site is now called ‘PET SHOP BOYS C A T A L O G U E’ and beside the old Discography texts (which were setup by Lazlo Nibble in 1997 with the help of a big bunch of die-hard Petheads) it will feature pictures from the massive back catalogue of the Pet Shop Boys.

The page still is under construction, which will take another couple of months.

We hope to get the page finished around Summer 2008, when most of the items are pictured. The result should help collectors and fans to find their way through the jungle of the vinyls, cassettes, cds and other records of the Pet Shop Boys. It also should help collecting and catalogue PSB material.

PSB C A T A L O G U E online gegangen

Ab heute ist die ehemalige Pet Shop Boys Discography Seite in einem neuen Design zu betrachten und hat ihren Namen gleichzeitig gegen einen neuen eingetauscht.

Unter dem bekannten Namen ‘Pet Shop Boys C A T A L O G U E’ wird sie in Zukunft nicht blos den riesigen Backkatalog der Jungs beinhalten, sondern auch Bilder zu den veröffentlichten Pet Shop Boys Tonträgern und Raritäten der letzten 25 Jahre liefern.

Die Seite ist noch immer nicht vollständig und wird bis zum Jahresende weiter vergrößert. Dabei werden viele Bilder gegen neue hochauflösendere Scans ausgetauscht, die den Sammlern helfen sollen, sich im Dschungel all der Platten, Kassetten, CDs und sonstigen Formaten der Pet Shop Boys zurecht zu finden!

Integral video filmed last Wednesday

Chris wore exactly what he wore for Minimal video.Black hat ,dior leather jacket,with dior black hoody. They were filmed up very close,the trousers were never in view.Then everything will be covered in pixcel squares,so that thier faces will be covered.’
