New Album ‘Electric’

Neil and Chris just announced the release of their next studio album Electric. It’s going to be released on their new label Kobalt Label Service in JUNE!

Electronic Electronic

‘Electronic’ sounds a little more like New Order than the Smiths. The three singles from the album remain the highlights: ‘Get the Message,’ ‘Feel Every Beat’ and ‘Getting Away with It’ featuring Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys.

The project has been described as a joyous venn diagram of Sumner and Marr’s influences. Although ostensibly coming from different disciplines, the experimental dance pop of New Order and the full-bodied jangle of The Smiths, their common interests were many: dance music, a good tune and pushing musical boundaries.

The release includes 8 previously unreleased tracks including alternate versions, edits & instrumentals.

Neil Tennant

I’ve received lots of mails asking whether Neil Tennant really died in a car accident. According to the official website and PetTexts, he’s alive and in the studio! No worries 🙂

New Years Eve

[updated] German Petheads, get excited: Pet Shop Boys will be performing at this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations in BERLIN at the Brandenburger Tor!

At the strike of midnight, in front of an audience of over ONE MILLION PEOPLE, Neil and Chris will accompany the New Year fireworks with an instrumental medley of their most popular hits. This will be followed by a live performance of GO WEST.
