‘It’s rock, but that’s taken within a Pet Shop Boys context, of course. It’s quite interesting, actually, we’ve made sort of rock ballads using dance technology. I mean it’s all samples and stuff. But it’s a very beatiful album. It’s almost all slow-tempo songs. And they’re all love-songs. Chris kept saying ‘No, that can’t go on the album.’ He wants love ballads to play when he gets home at three o clock in the morning.’
