The end for Smash Hits

‘Smash Hits’ where Neil Tennant has started his career in music as a writer, is to be published for the last time on February 13. The magazine was launched in 1978, but its sales went down from usual half a million to 120,000. The ‘Smash Hits’ brand will still continue as a digital radio station, music television channel and Web site.

‘Q’ magazine (3/2006), in its ‘The 50 Essential Tracks To Download This Month’ has Pet Shop Boys’ ‘The Sodom And Gomorrah Show’ along with the comment: ‘Already a candidate for song title of the year, this sees Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe return to the magnificently OTT disco pop of their heyday’.

Release date of second single

According to an EMI newsletter about future releases and release dates the second single from ‘Fundamental’ will be a double-A single. The title is ‘Numb / I’m With Stupid’ and will be released on May 8th in Europe.

Brazilian PSB fan meeting
