DVD release of Produced by Trevor Horn

The live appearance of our boys on the ‘Produced By Trevor Horn’ tribute concert, which took place at the Wembley Arena London last year, finally will find a release on a DVD next year!

The DVD is schedulled for release on February 7. and will include both tracks, which were performed by the Pet Shop Boys during that anniversary performance. The full tracklisting is as follows:

Neue Remixe und eine neue Coverversion

Die Leadsängerin der britischen Pop Gruppe ‘Everything But The Girl’ Tracy Thorn (Bild) wird auf ihrem Solo-Album eine Coverversion des Pet Shop Boys Titels ‘King’s Cross’ veröffentlichen. Das Album ist derzeit an die Plattenfirma gegeben worden und soll Ende Februar weltweit bei Virgin Records veröffentlicht werden.

Auf der offiziellen Seite gab es gestern die Info, daß die Jungs derzeit zwei Remix-Projekte in Arbeit haben, die Anfang 2007 veröffentlicht werden.

Dabei handelt es sich einmal um ‘Read My Mind’, die neue Single der ‘Killers’ und zum anderen um ‘I’m Gay (Get Over It)’ – einer weiteren Produktion des englischen Comedy-Duos ‘Little Britain’, die schon im ‘I’m With Stupid’ Video mit den Jungs zusammen gearbeitet hatten. Den Track wird es allerdings aller Voraussicht nach erst Anfang 2007 nur als Download im Netz geben.

New cover and a bunch of remixes

Tracy Thorn, known as the lead singer of the british group ‘Everything But The Girl’ is going to release a cover version of the Pet Shop Boys track ‘King’s Cross’ on her upcoming solo album. The album has now finally been delivered to the record company and it’s scheduled for release on Virgin Records next February.

The boys also have confirmed, that they will remix the third ‘The Killers’ single called ‘Read My Mind’ and doing an additional recording for ‘Little Britain’. Their track ‘I’m Gay (Get Over It)’ is ready for a download only release early next year! Please check the official page for further details.

Weihnachtsgrüße vom PSB FC unterwegs

Die jährlichen Weihnachtsgrüße von Neil und Chris sind seit Mittwoch an die Mitglieder des englischen Fanclubs unterwegs. Die Kartengrüße sollten noch vor dem Wochenende die Fans im deutschsprachigen Raum erreichen.

Wer bisher noch nicht beim Pet Shop Boys Fanclub angemeldet ist, kann das jetzt sehr leicht unter www.petshopboys.biz bewerkstelligen! Seit Sommer ist es nun endlich auch möglich mit Creditkarte zu zahlen, was die Verlängerungs- und Anmeldemodalitäten erheblich erleichtert!

Eine Mitgliedschaft im offiziellen Fanclub geht über den Zeitraum von 3 Ausgaben des Fanclubmagazins ‘Literally’ und kostet ca. 25 Euro.

In den News auf der offiziellen Seite tauchte gestern die Meldung auf, daß die Jungs bei den Grammy Nominierungen 2007 in zwei Kategorien nominiert sind. Einmal in der Kategorie ‘Best Dance Recording’ für das Video von I’m with stupid’ zusammen mit Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Madonna und Justin Timberlake und dann noch als ‘Best Electronic/Dance Album’ für ‘Fundamental’ mit Goldfrapp, Madonna, Paul Oakenfold und Zero 7.

Die Gewinner werden am 11. Februar in Los Angeles gekürt!

This years Xmas cards are on the way!

The yearly xmas cards from the Pet Shop Boys fanclub with Christmas wishes by Neil and Chris are currently on the way to all members. The mass send out started on Wednesday. The cards should arrive all European members very soon and will take some more days for the rest of the world.
