psb-35Today, 35 years ago, Neil and Chris met in an electronics shop on Kings Road in Chelsea, London in August 1981.

“Recognising a mutual interest in dance music, they began to work on material together, first in Tennant’s flat in Chelsea and from 1982, in a small studio in Camden Town. It was during those early years that several future hit songs were created, including “It’s a Sin”, “West End Girls”, “Rent” and “Jealousy”. (Taken from Wikipedia)

Inner Sanctum Vinyl

inner-sanctum-vinylTo celebrate Pet Shop Boys’ highly-anticipated, sold-out residency at London’s Royal Opera House this July, Pet Shop Boys have announced a special 12” vinyl release of their single Inner Sanctum.

The release features a remix by legendary Detroit techno DJ and producer Carl Craig, as well as two demo versions of the Pet Shop Boys single, which are exclusive to this vinyl release. The vinyl will be available to purchase through the official PSB store and other retailers, and will also be on sale at the Inner Sanctum Royal Opera House shows. Carl Craig’s remix will be available digitally from July 22.

Twenty-something

twenty-something-cover-smallPet Shop Boys will release their single Twenty-something on June 24th on CD and digital formats. Taken from their most recent Top 3 album Super, the single will include two exclusive new PSB bonus tracks, The white dress and Wiedersehen; the latter features backing vocals from Rufus Wainwright.

The release will also include remixes of Twenty-something by Swedish DJ/Producer Kornél Kovác, and reggaeton super-producers Los Devos Jedis.
