Yesterday BBC2 announced that The Pet Shop Boys will perform at the closing ceremony of The Oympic Games! They will be supported by The London Symphony Orchestra and will most likely perform their latest single, 'Winner' (see https://petshopboys-online.com/news/read/headline/Snippet-of-Winner/details/1023). The new Pet Shop Boys single is called Winner and will be given its world premiere next Monday morning, July 2nd, on The Ken Bruce Show on BBC Radio 2 in the UK between 9.30 and 12. The track will be available for download at iTunes on Tuesday, July 3rd! The CD release is planned for August, 6th. The CD release will also include three new bonus tracks.

Pet Shop Boys just announced the new album title: Elysium! It'll be released in September. The song Invisible (see older news items here) will not be a single but is an album track to show us, how the new album will sound like. Pete Gleadall tweeted, that 'there are lots of dance tracks coming' :)
