Rumours are rumours…
The recent rumours are just rumours … so there’s no plan of a dance-album and no Christmas-release (so Neil said).
Rumours and winners of the ‘London’ competition
Well, taken from the Pet Shop Boys forum (http://www.petshopboys-forum.com):
‘Neil said ‘It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas’ will be released in the UK as a AA-sided single with ‘Here’ on Monday 16th December 2002, just in time for the Christmas chart. ‘London’ will still come out in the UK around mid March 2003, also as a AA-sided single with an unnamed track. Neil also said they were considering playing a UK only tour to promote the next Greatest Hits album with a full orchestra in tow including dates at the London’s Royal Albert Hall and Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.’ (posted by SoPetShopBoys)
‘I saw Chris the other day and he said we would get an 18 track dance album in January along with a 6 track album including extended versions of the Peel sessions.’ (posted by Undertaker!)
Of course nothing is confirmed yet …
Here are the winners of the ‘London’ promo competition:
Thomas Schulte
Frank Arbogast
Robert ?
Stephan Lingnau
Milla ?
Marco ?
Lasse Eriksson
Peter Daum
Sebastian Röhl
Jens Vree
You should receive (or have already received) an eMail by the German PSB club.
Christmas release / PSB don’t appear on the MTV music awards…
From the official site:
‘Contrary to reports you may have seen, Pet Shop Boys are not appearing on the European MTV Awards. Neil and Chris are returning to the studio next week to complete some new tracks. More information later…’
Nothing is offical now but the statements on the official website AND the German PSB club make me suggest that PSB plan to release a Christmas CD …
